What's Going On!?

Something strange is happening to my office mate. He used to be nice and fun to collaborate with on creative projects, but now he’s… well, I don’t remember his eyes looking so bloodshot and he sits at his desk cackling and saying, “soon, soon” a lot. Sometimes he says he’s not feeling well and when I offer a lozenge he brandishes a cane at me and speaks in riddles.

I hope he’s not contagious.
