On Saturday, I took a little trip out to Hersheypark to meet up with my college roommates. One lives just over the Cape May-Lewes Ferry in Rehobeth and the other lives in Pittsburgh. How lucky are we that meeting in the middle just so happens to put us in “The Sweetest Place on Earth?” Hersheypark is in the middle of their Christmas Candylane event, a Christmas celebration that runs through December.
It was magical to walk around the park with Christmas music playing and lights twinkling everywhere. About 30 rides opened for the event and there were light shows, entertainment and Santa’s reindeer were even stabled there! We found plenty to do from catching up over (delicious) hot chocolate to decorating a gingerbread cookie!

We also visited Chocolate World where you can create your own chocolate bars, ride through the chocolate making process, watch Hershey’s Really Big 3D Show and of course, shop the marketplace. Hey, I had to stock up on Symphony bars!

In the field across from the park, huge sections of bright yellow track waited to become Hersheypark’s newest coaster, Skyrush. It looks like it’s going to be amazing!

Christmas at an amusement park… definitely a concept I can get into! We don’t have any plans currently for a holiday season at Morey’s Piers, but what do you think it would look like if we did?
