With a few days of decent weather finally upon us, pool painting at Raging Waters is well underway. And the best part of painting a pool, or a lazy river, is that you really need to go out of your way to mess it up. This is “down and dirty” mass painting with tangible rewards, because at the end of the day, there is nothing better than stepping back and admiring a freshly painted pool.
Now painting pools is the complete opposite of painting a Picasso…. There are no abstract messages or hidden meanings in this kind of work. We use one color…white. And a lot of it. Raging Waters takes almost 300 gallons of pool paint to do the job.
The weather forecast during the next week now becomes pretty important. In case you haven’t figured out yet, rain and wet pool paint don’t mix very well together. So let’s hope for a stretch of decent weather so we can create our next “masterpiece”.
