Through Percy and Sam to Hydro and Bubbles, we finally arrived at our goofy and fun-loving mascots, Curley Fry and Sunny C. Gull.
The original idea behind having a seagull as a mascot sprang from the popularity of Curley fries and the infamous (and sometimes aggressive) appetite of seagulls. Everyone has some kind of “a seagull swooped right down and took my right out of my hands” story. We thought it would be funny to have a seagull chasing a giant Curley fry around the piers in a Tom and Jerry kind of relationship.
Though, now that I think about it, what would happen if Sunny C. Gull actually did catch Curley? shudder
