Morey's Piers Beachfront Waterparks are recruiting individuals to fulfill seasonal Supervisory/Leadership positions in Aquatics and Guest Services/Admissions for the 2010 season. Morey's Piers will provide all job specific training, uniform and a very competitive compensation package including a seasonal performance bonus. In addition, reduced-rent housing is also available to Supervisory level associates. Duties include daily staff/zone supervision, assisting in overall amusement/waterpark facility operations, organizing associate activities, staff training, emergency response, identifying and resolving problems, cash control, admissions systems, and risk management. Top priorities include ensuring the safety of guests and fellow associates, facility cleanliness, and providing guest service that exceeds expectations. At least 18 years of age. College student preferred, available for majority of summer season. Prior supervisory experience in a waterpark/theme park/resort environment preferred for Aquatics, or retail supervisory experience for Guest Services/Admissions. Experience with the Ellis and Associates risk management program preferred for Aquatic Supervisor applicants. Able to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work outdoors exposed to changing weather conditions. Able to work flexible hours (50-60+).

Job Description

Looking for a hardworking, customer service oriented leader that can build and maintain a team in the management of up to 13 games. Seasonal Position (Mid-March through October) with the potential to become Full-Time.

Job Requirements:

• Amusement Industry/Games Supervisory/Retail Experience
• College Graduate Preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• High detail orientated
• Available a minimum of 65 hours per week and able to work from March through October of each year.
• Ability to work outdoors, exposed to changing weather conditions.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures Responsibilities
• Manage an efficient/effective operation of up to 13 revenue producing stands
• Oversee the training and supervision of up to 60 seasonal employees.
• Assist in the training, development, and management of a team of up to 3 seasonal area supervisors.
• Control the cost of goods of each stand and inventory area.
• Enforce all company policies and procedures.
• Monitor operator adherence to all game’s policies and procedures, providing immediate corrective action and reporting of violations.
• Perform managerial duties at any of the three facilities, as needed.
• Thoroughly complete all paperwork in a timely manner and ensure all area supervisor paperwork is properly completed at all times.
• Communicate concerns and needs to subordinates and the Games Manager through verbal and written communication.
• Actively participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring applicants for Game Operator positions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, consensus standards, and policies in accordance with the State of New Jersey.
• Address guest concerns and resolve problems to the mutual benefit of guests and Morey’s Piers.
• Assist in the coordination and organization of all Game’s events.
• Assist in overseeing pre-opening preparations and end of season shutdown procedures.
• Oversee and participate in the development of the Games End of the Season DVD.
