River Adventure Opening at Morey’s Piers’ Raging Waters

Morey’s Piers introduces a new family waterpark experience at Raging Waters. River Adventure, a renovated incarnation of the Lazy River, invites families on an endless expedition into excitement.

The new attraction features beautiful rock facades and formations all around the river with cascading waterfalls, seating outcrops for mid-river relaxation, geysers and a lovely grotto.

“We commissioned artist Neal McPheeters to paint the river in a new landscape,” said Jack Morey, Executive Vice President. “Our challenge then was to make life imitate art through the engineering and architecture of River Adventure.”

Morey’s Piers will celebrate the opening of River Adventure on Saturday, May 26 when Raging Waters officially opens for the season.

Dance the Night Away with Morey’s Piers – Ballroom at the Beach Offers Dance Lessons

On Friday, April 20 through Sunday, April 22 at the Wildwoods Convention Center, experience the rhythm of ballroom dancing while taking in beautiful beachfront views. Move your feet, learn from the best and relax with Ballroom on the Beach, hosted by Morey's Piers.

"Our professionally trained staff will create an exciting, positive atmosphere while teaching the latest techniques in ballroom dancing," said Krista Fitzsimons, Group Sales Manager for Morey Resorts.

The program includes a weekend of ballroom dance lessons provided by professional instructors for beginners interested in learning the art of ballroom dance and more advanced dancers who want to learn a few new moves.

The three-day program begins with a 3 p.m. check-in registration at the Pan American Hotel, on Friday, April 20 - followed by a welcome reception and 7 p.m. "meet and greet" for dancers and instructors. A full day of activity starting at 7 a.m. through midnight on Saturday, April 21 and includes trolley transportation to and from the Wildwoods Convention Center, instruction and workshops, lunch, and evening cocktail party and ballroom dinner dance.

Saturday, April 22 activities commence at 7 a.m. with breakfast, followed by 3 hours of instruction at the Wildwoods Convention Center, concluding at noon.

What’s New This Year At Morey’s Piers: Morey’s Piers Reveals Changes for 2012

Over the winter, many things have changed at Morey’s Piers and Beachfront Waterparks.

Ocean Oasis and Raging Waters Waterparks will emerge from the dust, each with a new water attraction. The Lazy River at Raging Waters underwent a major overhaul. Now, as River Adventure, the attraction invites guests on an endless expedition into family fun with geysers, waterfalls, a grotto to explore, rock faces and more! At Ocean Oasis, go head to head with friends and family on Wipeout!, a six-lane racer slide that sends guests head first down the slopes to a wet and wild finish.

“We’re really pleased with these two new attractions,” said Jack Morey, Executive Vice President. “The River project beautifies Raging Waters and Wipeout! is a fantastic family attraction and interactive representation of our history.”

Also new for 2012, the Giant Wheel will dazzle the night sky with brand new energy efficient LED lights! With infinite colors and hundreds of patterns, the Wildwood summer skyline will transform into a spectacular light show each night.

“We’re thrilled that the center sun will once again be lit,” said Will Morey, President and CEO. “The new lights are really going to make a difference in the night time boardwalk atmosphere.”

The Sea Dragon has been replaced with a brand new model of the same ride. This version will be called Rip Tide and take on the appearance of a Wildwood lifeguard boat. Enjoy the same classic amusement ride in a new way for 2012!

Surfside Pier will see two new kiddie rides for 2012. Happy Feet seats 12 guests and swings them back and forth. Kang’A’Bounce seats up to 16 in kangaroo themed vehicles with over-the-shoulder harnesses.

Joe’s Fish Co. and Jumbo’s will serve locally grown produce in their dishes. All produce will be sourced from local New Jersey farms. It doesn’t get any fresher than that!

Celebrate Easter at Morey’s Piers During the 2012 Easter Celebration April 8

Hop on over to Morey’s Mariner’s Landing on Sunday, April 8 and celebrate Easter with the whole family from noon - 5 p.m.

Kids can help design and color our “Monster Mural,” enjoy strolling entertainment from stilt walkers to jugglers and more. Visit with the Easter Bunny himself at the Parent’s Pavilion.
