Making Event Memoreys

If there’s one thing that I’ve learned for sure this Spring, it’s definitely that weddings aren’t the only thing that get my heart racing with excitement.  Memoreys by Morey’s Piers recently had the opportunity to host The International Special Events Society (ISES) monthly meeting, and I can’t wait to share the details!  ”Making Event Memoreys” was the theme of the evening, and every little detail on making this event happen was important.  With close to 60 attendees from the special events industry, it’s safe to say that with the help of some wonderful vendors, we pulled off an amazing and memorable evening.  Wedding Planners, Meeting Planners, Destination Management Companies, and Event Industry Leaders from around the world were invited to experience Memoreys by Morey’s Piers with our showcase venue of the evening being our Pan American Penthouse.

One of my personal favorite things about the penthouse is that hosting an event here is memorable no matter what you do. You literally hear “ooohs and ahhhhs” the second guests enter the penthouse.  It’s a one-of-a-kind venue space.

“I am not sure which scenery I liked the most of this event” said Kelly Shearer, VP of Communications on the Board of ISES, ”the amazing views of the beach and ocean, or the atmosphere and layout at of the event itself! It’s beautiful.”

The most stunning flower centerpieces were donated by Petals Florist located in Wildwood Crest, and the colors incorporated added a perfect touch for the evening.  Lounge furniture was strategically placed on the rooftop for guests to have the opportunity to mingle and exchange business cards, all while enjoying the view and relaxing.

Appetizers were being butlered for guests to taste some of our newest options off of The Pan American Penthouse Wedding & Event Menu. They were as tasty as beautifully displayed.

If you were lucky enough to attend, you may have gotten the chance to mingle personal statements with Will & Jack Morey themselves to ask questions on what’s new and upcoming at the piers, as well as tell them what you do for the event industry.

Attendees listened closely as one of the main highlights of the evening was the President and CEO of Morey’s Piers, Will Morey, speaking about “Memoreys in the making.”  Guests had mentioned that they never knew the penthouse was even here for hosting events, but also that they hadn’t really thought about Wildwood being a wedding and special event destination before.  After hearing Will Moreys speech, I believe everyone felt differently.

Interactive Displays for everyone to enjoy were a HUGE hit!  We had an Olive Oil & Balsamic Station provided by the Cape May Olive Oil Company; guests could choose flavored Olive Oils and pair them with research paper writer Balsamics and breads.  Next would be something we’ve actually added onto our 2015 menus for our weddings and events: a S’mores Bar, which offers gourmet flavored marshmallows such as Mochaccino, Coconut, and Caramel Swirl to make and enjoy their s’mores with.  The interactive display was more than loved by all, and at one point there was a line waiting.

Beautiful desserts  for guests to enjoy by Joyce Gould of Joyce’s Kitchen were a great addition to the evening, and not a piece was left over!

A photo booth was provided by A1 Entertainment for guests to have an extra souvenir to remember this wonderful evening by.

Needless to say, making Memoreys for weddings and events is what we do best, yet somehow I always come out with the most wonderful Memoreys myself as the planner.  This was an evening to remember by all that attended, and one I know I personally will never forget!  If you would like to see more photos of this event, please like Memoreys facebook page and check under our photo section.
