Learning through valuable hands-on experience

For over 30 years, Morey’s Piers has been committed to supporting education at all levels. Our enthusiasm shows in the success of our school programs. Together with Cape Bank, our partner in education, we offer you and your students one-of-a-kind experiences.

NEW this year... Stockton College – New Jersey’s “Green College” – and Atlantic Cape Community College will join with Morey’s Piers to present Education ExtravaGREENza as a series of five “green themed” workshops designed to raise student awareness concerning the need for alternative forms of energy production, and a more eco-friendly footprint.

Education Extravaganza offers a full day of innovative workshops and fun for students in Grades 5 through 12. This unique program is designed to encourage hands-on learning and interactive participation in safe, clean surroundings.

In the morning, students participate in thought-provoking activities in one of five unique educational workshops offered 9:30am to 10:15am or 10:30am to 11:15am. Afterward, students are rewarded with an afternoon of fun on Morey’s Mariner’s Landing amusement rides and Raging Waters waterpark.

NEW Living the Green Life

NEW Living the Green Life • Students will learn how they can individually conserve energy in the course of their everyday lives, creating a more eco-friendly footprint. Each student can walk away
knowing how they can personally make a difference in the care of our environment.

NEW Clean up your Energy

This exciting NEW workshop will help raise student awareness of what’s new in the world of clean/alternative formsof energy, including solar, wind and more. Studentswill get a first hand look at the future of energycreation and how it will benefit us and our planet.

Ecology

Dive into sea life in this revamped, hands-on ecology workshop. Learn about everything from shark teeth to sea shells and everything in between right on the beach at Morey’s Piers.

Basic Physics

A comprehensive workbook leads students through a series of physics problems illustrated through the use of amusement ride examples. This is the perfect opportunity for students to understand how classroom theory is applied to real life situations.

Peer Leadership

The key to avoiding drug and alcohol abuse is making good life choices. Through a series of cooperative games students learn the foundation of good decision making. Games are designed to be fun while encouraging communication and self-confidence.

In order to be officially registered for Education Extravaganza, Morey’s Piers must receive full payment OR we must receive a purchase order for the total number of students attending the event no later than May 21, 2010.

Upon receipt of your payment or purchase order, Morey’s Piers will send your school the appropriate number of student and chaperone wristbands, along with your workbooks.

Sorry, there are NO REFUNDS for unused wristbands – so PLEASE make sure your order is as accurate as possible. You will be able to ADD students the day of the event at Event Services. The cost to purchase student admission at Education Extravaganza is $23.

Class Trips

Morey’s Piers on the Jersey Shore is the perfect destination for the most memorable, fun-filled class trip ever!

Morey's Piers offers 3 days for class trips at an extra special savings! School class trip dates for 2010 are Wednesday, June 2, Thursday, June 3 and Friday, June 4. (Workshop participation on June 3 and 4 is optional.) There are no workshops offered on June 2.

Class trip outings include admission to the amusements on Morey’s Mariner’s Landing from 11 am - 5 pm, plus admission Raging Waters waterpark from 10 am - 5 pm.

Our special rate for students is $20 (if purchased by April 1, 2010), or $23 (purchased after April 1, 2010.) That’s a savings of over 60% off the general admission rate! Schools groups are welcome on other days throughout the summer season at our regular group rate (ranging between 10-20% off regular admission).

We also offer a wide range of meal options to complete your class trip. From pizza to sandwiches to seafood platters, Morey's Piers has a fresh and tasty meal plan that's easy on your budget
