When established in 1969, Morey's Piers had simple origins. In 1968, the founders Will and Bill Morey spotted a giant 12-lane fiberglass slide operating near a shopping center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The brothers knew that such an attraction would be a successful addition to the Wildwood boardwalk and they started making plans to acquire one of their own. Given the size of the slide, the brothers could only find one location large enough to accommodate it. The construction of a new pier and the purchase of a struggling restaurant and miniature golf complex located on the boardwalk became the site of Surfside Pier. Now 40 seasons later Morey’s Piers consists of over 100 rides and attractions spanning three amusement piers and two beachfront waterparks.
Voted one of the best seaside amusement parks in the world in 2007, known as the largest seaside amusement park in the Western Hemisphere and countless international awards later - our simple origins remain. Still family owned and operated, our mission hasn’t changed: To provide a spectacular family recreation experience in an exceptionally safe, clean, friendly and unique environment.

New Thrills And New Attractions In 2008!
Guests visiting Morey’s Piers this season can count on more thrills, chills and fun!
Introducing for the 2008 season:
FLY The Great Nor’Easter and experience the new Freedom Flight seats!
Morey’s Piers increases the thrill-factor on one of its most popular rides. The legendary Great Nor’Easter suspended looping coaster that opened in 1995, gets a major transformation in 2008. Manufactured by Vekoma Rides of the Netherlands, the GNE becomes one of the most exhilarating ride experiences that you will find! The new train features an ergonomically designed seat making the ride experience more enjoyable by holding the rider firmly, while also providing unhindered vision in all directions as well as complete arm freedom. The design utilizes a lap bar and innovative vest, to comfortably restrain Guests during the ride. Add to that a redesigned station and all new red, white and blue color theme, and you have a brand new ride experience!
Cygnus X-1, a gravity free thrill that’s out of this world, arrives on Morey’s Surfside Pier this summer. A wondrous astronomical oddity, Cygnus X-1 the first proven and “visible” black hole, first discovered in 1971, a strange and peculiar form, there are endless ways in, and no way out. Manufactured by Wisdom Industries Ltd., this family thrill ride promises excitement. Enter if you dare....experience CYGNUS X-1.
Families rule at Morey’s Pier’s, and this spring look forward to the debut of Magic Bikes, an exciting new attraction that is sure to delight children “of all ages.” Designed and manufactured by Zamperla Rides of Italy, it is an interactive family attraction that gives guests the ability to have control over their experience and will be exciting “for the kid in all of us”. Look for the Magic Bikes on Morey’s Surfside Pier this spring.
And there’s more to Morey’s Piers than just the rides! The all-new Radio Disney Summer Concert Series (presented in part by the Wildwoods Tourism Authority).
This year we’re teaming up with Radio Disney to bring you the hottest stars! Some of Radio Disney’s brightest stars and musicians will appear LIVE on Mariner’s Landing Pier July 7th, 14th and 21st. The Concert Series finale features one of Radio Disney’s hottest artists in a live concert at the Wildwoods Convention Center Oceanfront Arena. Last year’s performers included B5, Jesse McCartney, T-Squad and The Cheetah Girls.
