A Closer Walk is a dynamic Christian youth event designed to help young people strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ. Now in its 7th year, A Closer Walk continues to reach out to thousands of young Christians, inspiring a weekend filled with fellowship, fun and focus on Christ.
This unique event takes place on the beach at Morey’s Piers with the beautiful Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop. A Closer Walk kicks off Thursday afternoon and wraps up Saturday by noon.

Youth Leaders Reception
We recognize the huge responsibility that it is to bring a group of young people to an outdoor, overnight event - not to mention the nurturing and guidance you provide your group all year long. So, we’d like to show you our appreciation for all you do. Join us Friday between 4 pm and 5 pm at the Ministry Tent for a special reception exclusive to youth leaders.
Ocean Baptisms
Last year was the first time we officially added baptisms to our event itinerary, and whoa were we surprised by how many people responded to the offer! This year, if you would like to be baptized in the ocean, we’ll have a sign-up sheet at the Ministry Tent. You can sign up any time the Ministry Tent is open. Following the event, we’ll send you a baptism certificate to help you remember the wonderful day you gave your life to God! |

Guest Speaker - Jack Redmond
Jack Redmond is currently the Youth Pastor at Christ Church in Montclair, NJ. Since his start as a volunteer in 1997, their youth ministry has grown from 68 to over 800 students. Jack is the Co-chairman of BATTLECRY and has led Youth Leader Trainings at 15 locations throughout NY, NY, PA and CT entitled: The Road to BATTLECRY.
Jack also served on the steering Committee for Autumn Blaze 2007 functioning as the overseer of evangelism training for counselors. He wrote the “Bridging the Gap” curriculum which was used to train several hundred counselors for the event.
Jack has been a guest speaker for many other youth events, conferences and leadership trainings including: BATTLECRY, Re-Load, and Teen Revolution. He also appeared on Praise the Lord Program, taped August 2007 and aired worldwide on TBN network and its affiliates.

Worship Band - HolyFire
Simply put, Holyfire exists to be used by God to see lives transformed. We believe that we are part of a broken and lost generation. All around us millions of people are living and dying without hope, purpose or meaning. People are crying out for something real, and the cry of the world can only be met by the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
The world is in desperate need of a voice. We need someone to stand up and unashamedly point to the hope that can save us. Holyfire has determined to be part of that world-wide voice.
We don't believe that God is looking for another cool band with cool songs. Rather, we are convinced that in our generation God is looking for workers who will give their lives for His purpose on the earth. We believe that we have in Jesus the one great hope for the world. It is the purpose of this team to share that hope with as many people as possible and inspire others to live lives devoted to Christ.
We believe that we have reached a strategic time in this world. We expect in our lifetime to see millions come to faith in Jesus Christ. Holyfire simply seeks to play the role that God has given us in His great plan.

$65 Purchase at Event
Handling fees are $8 per order, and include will call orders. All pricing is per person and includes: camping Thursday and Friday nights, breakfast on Friday and Saturday morning, dinner on Friday evening, speaker and worship sessions, Morey’s Piers amusement rides and waterparks until 6 pm on Saturday.
