Should I bring my own camping equipment?
Yes. You'll need your own tent(s), sleeping bags, beach chairs, but please NO cooking equipment. |
Can I drive my camping equipment onto the beach?
No. The City of Wildwood does not allow driving on the beach without a permit, so we recommend packing lightly or bringing a wagon. |
Is there reserved parking provided?
There is limited reserved (paid) parking, so register early! There is also parking available nearby in private lots (fees vary). |
Is there a recommended chaperone-to-child ratio?
No, there is no recommended ratio. You know your kids better than we do, so we leave it to your discretion. |
Do I need to bring any special gear such as sand stakes?
That is up to you. Generally, the sand on the beach is dense enough so that sand stakes are not needed. However, they can be helpful in the event of high winds. |
Can we cook or have campfires on the beach?
No cooking, open flames, or campfires are permitted on the beach. |

May I purchase t-shirts or other commemorative items at the event?
Yes. T-shirts and other retail items are always available during youth events. |
Are campsites assigned for any overnight youth event?
