Morey’s is proud to partner with Tri-State Roundnet to bring the beach championship to Wildwood, NJ. Open to all levels, roundnet is fast-paced, friendly, and fun!
This one-of-a-kind event will be held at Morey’s infamous PigDog Beach Bar, where you can enjoy fantastic drinks and a world-famous barbecue without ever leaving the sand.
Registration begins at 9:00 am, and games start at 9:30 am. It will be a full day of play Saturday, with prizes at every level!
All registered Spikefest participants will receive a $10 credit ($20 per team) to PigDog Beach Bar. In addition to the gameplay and the good eats, participants will have the opportunity to purchase deeply discounted admission to Morey’s Piers and Water Parks.
HOW THE GAME IS PLAYED
The game is played between two teams of two people. Players are positioned at 4 points around the net, with partners located at neighboring positions. One player serves the ball across the net to the opposing team member. The opposing team then has 3 hits to return the ball to the net. After the serve, there are no boundaries of play. Participants are free to run, set, and spike the ball from anywhere around the net. Play continues until a team fails to return the ball or the ball hits a rim piece, at which point the point ends, and the other team receives 1 point.
