Dogs Invited to Paw-ty at Morey’s Piers Doggie Dash and Splash in September

The Wildwoods, NJ – July 11, 2018–  Bark by popular demand, Morey’s Piers goes completely to the dogs on Saturday, September 8. With a full line-up of fido-friendly events, pups, mutts and purebreds of all shapes and sizes are invited to celebrate the dog days of summer.

The Doggie Dash kicks-off the tail-wagging events at 10:00am on September 8 when pooches set the pace for the 5K and 1 mile races on the beach adjacent to Raging Waters Water Park. Participant prizes include a dog tag finisher medal for dogs, an official doggie dash leash, and a commemorative t-shirt. After the dash, dogs and owners will be treated to a beachside finisher’s celebration with music, food, games and activities.

New for 2018, Doggie Dash participants can add on a Doggie Splash admission for $10 granting access to the water park right after the race. The exclusive 10:30am to 11:45am time slot is only available to Doggie Dash participants.

The day continues with a splash for the fifth annual puppy pool party at Raging Waters “Water Bark.” From 12:00pm to 5:00pm Morey’s Piers will host nine different one-hour long sessions that are staggered throughout the day to accommodate admission for more dogs. Celebrating the close of the water park for the season, canines have free rein to paddle along the river adventure, play in the fountain pool or fetch tennis balls in the activity pool.

On Saturday, September 8 PigDog Beach Bar will be open from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Both family and dog-friendly, the new breed of beach bar is serving up tasty barbecue classics, cocktails and local beers on tap. Special dishes include the PigDog Dog, a foot-long all-beef hot dog topped with smoked pulled pork and jalapenos on a potato roll. The Pig Big, another must-try, is a sourdough loaf stuffed with smoked pulled pork, covered in Monterey Jack cheese, and topped with pickled jalapenos and scallions. PigDog Beach Bar invites pooches and guests of all ages to kick-back and enjoy the laidback atmosphere accessible via Raging Waters Water Park, the beach, and the boardwalk.
