Personally chosen by Gary Slade, publisher and editor-in-chief of Amusement Today, this year’s Publisher’s Pick Awards for Park of the Year was presented to Morey’s Piers for celebrating 50 years of innovation, creative success, and providing vacationing families along the Jersey Shore with a variety of rides and experiences.

“Morey’s Piers stands as a one-of-a-kind example of how an amusement facility can become synonymous with a community,” said Publisher Gary Slade, Amusement Today. “As we recognize great achievements at the Golden Ticket Awards each year, the Publisher’s Pick allow me to bring attention to things that are really special in the amusement industry. Morey’s Piers is just that — completely special. The piers have helped define Wildwood and in turn become an integral part of the summer beach vacation. The Morey’s team stands as a leader for many parks to look up to and has for 50 years.”

Morey, Director of Water Park Operations and third generation family-member of Morey’s Piers. “We are thrilled to be celebrated as park of the year and know this honor wouldn’t have been achievable without our employees, community and guests.”

Morey’s Piers strives to continually create distinctive experiences for guests while also staying true to its values and core identity as a seaside amusement park serving families. As measured in terms of rides and attractions, Morey’s Piers ranks among the two largest multi-generational, family-owned amusement parks in the U.S. with 61 rides and two full scale water parks across three piers.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary, Morey’s Piers unveiled a new ride, The Runaway Tram.
