Strength in Unity Mural Auction Raises Funds for Hurricane Sandy Victims

January 11, 2013

David Macomber recently spent a day at Morey’s Piers creating an 8 x 20 foot mixed medium mural symbolizing the strength and unity of New Jersey communities affected by Hurricane Sandy in October.

Macomber sliced the mural into 30 pieces, which were then auctioned. All pieces were sold, raising $3350 for to benefit New Jersey shore towns that were devastated by Hurricane Sandy.

"The support and excitement that was shown during this project was overwhelming,” said Macomber. “To everyone involved - it was a perfect picture of STRENGTH IN UNITY."
