Morey's Piers, the region's leading Family Recreation destination, is recruiting Interns to join our seasonal team. The internship provides the opportunity for college students to develop a wide range of resume-building skills, while working alongside professionals that represent some of the best in the field. Interns will have the opportunity to interact with co-workers at every level - from management to fellow co-workers.

Ride Operations Management Internship

The Ride Operations Management Internship at Morey's Piers is a supervisory-level position that places students in real, direct leadership roles, providing the opportunity develop managerial, leadership, and communication skills in a fun and exciting environment. 

Interns will assist in overall amusement facility operations including: ride systems operation, training, coaching and recognition of front-line staff members, monitoring attraction throughput and ensuring efficiency standards are met, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Guidelines, leading ride group meetings, conducting breaks, facilitating rotations, and being the first responder to guest and ride issues within their ride group. Top priorities include ensuring the safety of our Guests and fellow Associates, facility cleanliness, and providing Guest Service that exceeds expectations.

Due to the seasonal nature of the Wildwoods, ample affordable seasonal housing is available for summer residents. In fact, over 90% of the seasonal Associates at Morey's Piers are from out of state and spend their summer in Wildwood. Morey's Piers offers housing assistance to all interns.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen or legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Attending college or recent graduate.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Successful completion of all departmental training programs.
  • Able to provide quality Guest and Associate service.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team-based environment.
  • Able to work in a high-intensity environment.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays and available approximately 50 hours per week.
  • Able to perform physical activities that require lifting, balancing, climbing, stooping, and bending.
  • Able to push, pull, or lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Able to stand/walk up to 90%.
  • Able to work in various weather conditions (rain, wind, cold, direct sunlight, high heat, humidity).

Games Leadership Internship

The Games Leadership Internship at Morey's Piers is an entry-level supervisory-level position that provides the opportunity for future professionals to develop management, leadership and guest service skills in a fast-paced, fun, exciting, and rewarding environment with an award-winning Games department! New hires progress to become members of the games leadership team and will support the daily operation and supervision of an area of games that employs several seasonal team members.

Under the direction of a Games Area Manager, Game Operations Leaders will assist the game management team in operating and leading our world-class games on one of our three amusement piers. Responsibilities include game operation, training, coaching, and recognition of front-line team members, identifying and solving problems, conducting breaks, cash control, risk management, ensuring engagement standards are met, ensuring efficiency standards are met, and adherence to Standard Operating Guidelines. Top priorities include ensuring the safety of our Guests and fellow Associates, facility cleanliness, and providing Guest Service that exceeds expectations.

Accounting/Cash Reconciliation & Reporting Internship

Morey's Piers, the region's leading Family Recreation destination, is recruiting an Accounting/Cash Reconciliation & Reporting Intern to join the 2024 seasonal team.

The Accounting / Cash Reconciliation & Reporting Intern is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the Cash Reconciliation Department. The intern must be a self-starter who is willing to take on projects as needed.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: preparing and organizing reconciliation of point of sale/ revenue reports, assisting with maintaining cash recycler and bank deposits information, helping count and reconcile cash and coin receipts of the businesses, updating revenue reporting schedules and analysis, participating in loss control projects with department management and other special projects and duties as may arise.

Applicants must be able to contribute to a team environment and possess a friendly customer service attitude. Our season runs between May and September; work schedule is typically about 40 – 50 hours per week and could include weekends, nights and holidays. Scheduled shifts correspond to our summer operating schedule. Schedules typically allow for morning work ( with evenings free to visit Boardwalk or Rides, etc.) or evening work ( with time free to visit water parks and beach). A number of employee perks and opportunities to meet other colleges students during the season are available.

Job Requirements:

  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Must possess strong math skills along with the ability to analyze data for accuracy.
  • Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.

Operations Auditing and Compliance Internship

The Operations Auditing and Compliance Internship at Morey's Piers is a supervisory-level position providing the opportunity to develop managerial, leadership, and communication skills in a fun and exciting environment. 

Under the direction of Full-Time Management, Operations Auditing and Compliance Interns will be responsible for completing operational audits at our facilities.  Responsibilities include performing safety performance, cleanliness, accessibility, efficiency, Guest experience audits at attractions. Additional responsibilities include coaching and recognition of front-line Team members, monitoring attraction throughput, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Guidelines, logging data to track facility performance, communicating audit results with Management in a timely and organized manner, investigating audit trends, and completing two internship presentations to the Management Team detailing audit findings. Top priorities include ensuring the safety of our Guests and Associates, facility cleanliness, and providing Guest Service that exceeds expectations.

Hospitality & Guest Relations Internship

The Hospitality & Guest Relations Internship at Morey's Piers is a position that places students in real, direct consumer engaging roles, providing the opportunity to develop conflict resolving, written and verbal communication, leadership, and decision-making skills in a fun and exciting environment. 

Under the direction of the Guest Service Supervisor and the Admissions Manager, the Guest Relations Intern will be responsible for collaborating with other associates and guests regularly.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: processing transactions, resolving guest concerns, navigating Point of Sale (POS) systems, and collaborating with other team members and supervisors to maintain a world class guest service department that exceeds company and department expectations.
