Meet This Years Choreographers
Alexa started her dance training in Burnsville, Minnesota at 10 years old under the direction of the Nelson sisters. At age 12 she relocated with her family to Arizona. She continued her training as a competitive dancer and was awarded multiple regional and national overall titles.
At the young age of 15, Alexa started instructing and creating some of the most well-known dancers in the country. Alexa's training is sought after for her precise technique, attention to detail, and ability to showcase stage presence. Alexa's has mentored students to work on multiple entertainment programs such as America's Got Talent, So You Think You Can Dance The Next Generation, X Factor, Abby Lee's Ultimate Dance Competition, The Maury Show, Ellen, Dancing with The Stars, Fresh Off The Boat, Disney's Shake It Up, Bunheads, and Dance Moms. She has been invited as a guest choreographer for Lifetime's Dance Moms and was featured on a recently aired episode. She is the founder and choreographer of multiple entertainment groups such as Fresh Faces, Complexity, Hair-tied, and Trifold. Alexa is the owner and director of Alexa Moffett Studios, Arizona’s dance and entertainment complex, and will continue to mentor child stars to accomplish their dreams.
For the past 20 years Sky Hoffmann has been a professional dancer, choreographer, artistic coach, dance educator and master teacher. Primarily focusing on the urban derived forms of dance and movement, Sky perceives dance not so much as art, but as life, a lifestyle.
Primarily known for being Justin Timberlake's main dancer for two world tours, Sky has worked with many of today's A-list artists such as, Mariah Carey, "Emancipation of Mimi" Tour", Michael Jackson, "American Bandstand", "A Night at the Apollo", Janet Jackson "Doesn't Really Matter" VMA's, Will.i.am and Justin Beiber "Billboard Awards", Britney Spears "Pepsi", Beyonce "Dreamgirls" and many many more.
More recently, Sky starred in "The Whitney Houston Movie" directed by Angela Bassett; choreographed and directed Japanese pop icon, Jin Akanishi for two tours; choreographed and supervised "America's Best Dance Crew"; was lead in Richmond and Tone Talauega's directorial debut of "Galactic Space Bar" and in-house choreographer for CBS promo spots for 3 years running.
On the teaching front, Sky has instructed for numerous years for such well-known Los Angeles based dance schools as the Edge, Millenium and Debbie Reynolds as well as many notable stateside and overseas schools.
He has also coached and helped develop upcoming and veteran artists such as YouTube superstar Megan Nicole, jazz singer James Tormé, lead singer Art Alexakis of band Everclear, and dance and pop icon Paula Abdul.
Now on the east coast, Sky continues his dance and choreography career with BlocNYC as well as continuing his mentoring of today's future movers and shakers while still traveling to LA and around the world for various gigs.
Born in Nagoya, Japan, Chio moved to New York in 1998 to study at the world-renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Since then, she has assembled impressive television, video, stage and commercial dancer/choreographer/instructor credits including: "The Queen Latifah Show", "The Chris Rock Show", "1st Look NY" on NBC, Bacardi, recording artist Out Of Eden, Marina, Dee Robert, Lady O, KTU Beat Stock, the New Jersey Nets, the New Jersey Devils/Ironman and the Washington Redkins all star Junior teams.
She has been on faculty at Broadway Dance Center since 2001, where she teaches her very popular JazzFunk classes. Aside from often teaching BDC’s Absolute Beginner Workshop series, Chio has also been a part of the esteemed faculty of The PULSE On Tour, alongside the likes of Brian Friedman and Laurieann Gibson. She has been also traveling to studios all over the country teaching master classes and choreographing.

WORKSHOPS AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
WORKSHOPS. Dancers must be five years of age or older to attend workshops. Workshop space is limited, please register early. On-site registration is not guaranteed. If you plan to register on-site, call 609.522.3900 ext. 1129 to check availability. There is an on-site service fee of $25/registrant in addition to the registration fee. All group registrations must be accompanied by a teacher or studio representative. Free teacher registration available when registering more than ten dancers.
AMBASSADOR AUDITIONS. We are looking for outgoing, enthusiastic dancers to spread the word about Shore Stop with friends, fans, and fellow dancers. As a Shore Stop ambassador, you will receive official Shore Stop dance wear and event updates. In return, you’ll spread the word about Shore Stop, and show off your official gear and dance moves via your social media channels. Head shots and proof of Instagram or social media account required.
SCHOLARSHIP AUDITION. Shore Stop offers scholarship opportunities ranging from $75 - $150 to dancers participating in the convention. In addition, two dancers will receive a “full ride scholarship” for Shore Stop 2019.
