Wipeout Construction Update- This Ain’t No Kiddie Slide!

One of the cool things about waterslide construction is that the assembly process goes by relatively quickly. Don’t get me wrong, a lot goes into the construction process and we have a talented and skilled team assembling Wipeout. But just about every day you can see some real progress.

We are currently in week one of about a six week construction window until Wipeout is ready for testing.

Back in the late 1980’s when our beachfront waterparks were built, the industry was brand new. There was no master planning. There was no such thing as “best waterpark construction practices.” Everything was designed on the back of a napkin and we were no different. Fast forward to 2012 when the industry now has 30 years of experience. It is amazing that Wipeout was designed months ago- on a computer-in some engineers office.

Wipeout was designed by one of the top waterslide manufactures in the world, ProSlide Technology Inc. ProSlide is considered by many to be the world leader in the custom design, engineering and manufacturing of fiberglass water rides. They have been in business since the 1980’s and have constructed waterslides in most of the waterparks across the globe. If you have visited other waterparks, chances are that you have ridden a ProSlide attraction. We partnered with one of the leaders in the waterslide industry to help guarantee that Wipeout is a winner.

Enjoy the journey folks….I can’t wait to see you take your first “race” at Ocean Oasis on opening day- which is June 16, 2012 by the way….

Oh….and sorry to break some bad news to you…..I get to ride Wipeout first!
